In 2025, WCAAD continued to walk alongside each of you. Every footprint represents a cherished memory of our growth, development, and progress.
In 2025, WCAAD students participated in 16 major art contests, with a total of 281 award recognitions (based on preliminary statistics).

Whether in nationally renowned competitions like the PTA Reflections Contest and the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, or in thematic contests focused on environmental awareness such as the Health Fair, our students earned high acclaim from judges for their unique perspectives, masterful skills, and profound humanistic sensitivity.

Behind every award lies the students’ unwavering dedication, the instructing team’s attentive guidance, and a vivid reflection of WCAAD’s educational philosophy: "Unlocking Creativity Through Art.”

In 2025, 27 students and instructors from WCAAD’s portfolio program collaborated to create a 40-foot artistic scroll for Chinese-American director Sunny Zhao’s twelve-years-in-the-making film, The Gift. The scroll was featured in the film’s closing credits, composing a moving prologue to a Hollywood story.

Also in 2025, all 20 graduates from WCAAD’s portfolio preparation class received offers from top-tier universities, with total scholarship offers amounting to an impressive $4,500,000. They are now embarking on their journeys at world-renowned institutions such as Princeton University, University of the Arts London, Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design, and Art Center College of Design.

The Class of 2025 has quickly immersed themselves in their new academic environments, continuing to shine in their respective fields.

Our alumni consistently share their growth and joy through letters and visits, and WCAAD remains committed to supporting every graduate, building cross-regional networks and resource platforms for them. Starting from WCAAD, their artistic paths are growing ever broader.

As the Class of 2025 energetically begins their university journeys with outstanding early achievements, the Class of 2026 proudly opened their art exhibition, Feast&Friends, presenting profound reflections and artistic explorations on themes spanning tradition and contemporaneity, virtuality and reality, individuality and community.

We firmly believe that the Class of 2026 will bring even greater creativity and robust portfolios to the upcoming college application season, continuing WCAAD’s tradition of excellence in admissions.

In 2025, we have witnessed not only the continuous evolution of our campus but also felt the unwavering dedication and passion for art in the hearts of our students and faculty. From instructors meticulously preparing lessons to classrooms filled with students on weekends, every moment embodies the sweat and effort poured into the pursuit of excellence.

We believe this shared journey will ultimately become a brilliant and cherished chapter in all our lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every student, parent, faculty member, staff, and partner for your trust and support. Let us look forward to co-writing more inspiring stories of art, growth, and success in the promising year of 2026.
Happy New Year!
