Happy Halloween! For children who love art, this holiday is about so much more than just "trick-or-treating."

ree

Through fun-filled art lessons, they are creating Halloween-themed works, turning the festival into a vibrant and creative experience.

ree

Tiny wizard hats, jack-o'-lanterns, haunted castles—every brushstroke is filled with imagination, every color tells a story.

ree

Here, kids don’t just enjoy dressing up and playing games—they also create one-of-a-kind artworks of their very own.

ree

Halloween is a traditional holiday from the English-speaking world, most popular in North America, the British Isles, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

ree

The custom of "Trick-or-Treating" dates back to the early observance of All Souls' Day in Britain. The poor would go "souling"—begging for "soul cakes" from households. In return, they promised to pray for the family’s deceased relatives. Over time, the tradition evolved, and children took over as the treat-seekers, going door to door to receive apples, buns, or coins.

ree

For our students, Halloween has never been just about spooky fun and costumes—it’s an immersive artistic experience that blends creativity with learning.

ree

In the classroom, children and instructors create together, inspire each other, and share moments of laughter, filling the space with both festive joy and educational warmth.

ree

What’s more, all of this flows naturally into the rhythm of teaching and learning. The children not only enjoy the lighthearted holiday spirit but also, almost effortlessly, expand their understanding of art and culture.

ree

As the holiday approaches, our instructors bring in adorable miniature pumpkin models to spark the children’s imaginations. Lifelike pumpkin shapes set against wildly creative backgrounds make each piece unique and full of personality.

ree

This kind of seasonal yet meaningful creation ignites students’ passion for expression while honing their observation and artistic skills—truly integrating education with enjoyment, and learning with creating.

ree

Learning art has never been just about repetitive drills—it’s a journey of exploration across cultures and history. Children who study art carry not only a spark of creativity but often possess knowledge and cultural awareness beyond their years.

This is more than just an art class. It’s a meaningful, heartfelt memory of growth. A Halloween enriched with artistry and thoughtful preparation becomes especially significant.

ree

For children who learn art, childhood memories take on a unique texture. Years later, looking back, they may say with pride: “When I was little, every Halloween I would draw a pumpkin. It wasn’t just doodling—it was the most colorful ritual of my childhood.”

ree

Our senior students celebrated Halloween with a “Gothic-style” life drawing class.

Originating in medieval Europe and flourishing especially in France, Gothic art—and its later revival—brought forth an aesthetic of shadow, mystery, and dramatic tension. This style embraces somber tones and intense emotion, often weaving in motifs of blood, death, decay, and fate. Its figures are pale and haunting, set against elements like broken wings, heavy chains, and withered roses—visuals that not only startle the eye but also resonate with the “thrilling aesthetics” and deeper themes of Halloween.

ree

Yet in our classroom, these seemingly “dark” elements are infused with educational warmth and depth. Under the instructor’s guidance, students don’t just imitate Gothic visuals—they explore the history and emotions behind them. With charcoal, they sketch faces pale yet full of tension; with dark hues, they build backgrounds rich with narrative. Even chains and broken wings become metaphors for their own youthful reflections on restraint and freedom. These artworks are not just displays of skill—they are expressions of feeling, and extensions of thought.

ree

Through such a class, our senior students have not only celebrated a distinctive and sophisticated Halloween—they’ve also embarked on a stylistic journey across time and a meaningful exploration of self-expression.

“Celebrating through art education”—it’s an experience that goes beyond festive excitement to nourish the inner self.

ree

Creativity turns the holiday into more than just a sweet memory—it becomes a shining, collectible moment in the journey of growing up.
