She Studied Art at Our School Being Admitted to Science/Engineering College

Congratulations to Kehan Ye on her acceptance to UC San Diego pursuing an Marine Biology major.

Additional Colleges accepted:
Ringling College of Art and Design-scholarship $64,000;
Otis College of Art and Design-scholarship $116,000,
UC San Diego,
UC Davis;

Kehan said that she chose marine biology as her major because she loves it, but she will never give up art. “With the arrival of the AI era, it has indeed become very convenient to get assistance, and AI can do many things on behalf of humans.” She said, “However, only humans can think independently. Creation is not just about drawing—it is every creator's reflection and emotional expression about humanity, society, and life.”

Like Kehan, some students study art and design at our school but end up being admitted to top-tier science and engineering universities. What may seem like an unconventional crossover actually has a deep internal connection. Studying art and applying to these technical programs are not parallel lines; they can reinforce each other across multiple dimensions.

I find Kehan to be perseverant, motivated, and dedicated. You will never see her give up, as she is passionate when facing obstacles and challenges.

Kehan’s strengths in Art are strongest in coming up with creative ideas and solutions. She is great with renders and sketching and this is evident in her stylization.

Kehan has dedicated her time with our Academy spending 15-18 hours a week with various art and design classes. This influence has persisted as she contributes to her community by providing advice and compete in various competitions and activities sharing her designs for other groups, her high school, and other public opportunities.

She recently was awarded for the 16th annual fitness day and health fair art contest State award signed by CA state Senate, Sasha Renee Perez.

Painting was in the theme of protecting marine animals and the environment. She did extensive research on the sea animals. Read articles and videos on marine productions and studied ocean environments and color expression.

This one shy person who had a very difficult time communicating is now someone who can share ideas help others and push influential themes for other in the classroom. i. I have witnessed classmates seeking advice from Kehan as she inspires others. She can now look at things from other people’s perspectives, caring about the people around her as she is collected and calm under stress and is easy-going among peers.
