Volunteer service + Artistic practice + Collaborative teamwork!

In September 2025, students from WCAAD's portfolio class took active part in creating a monumental 40-foot poster for the forthcoming film “Gift”.

“Gift” represents a seminal work of cinematic art, meticulously crafted over twelve years by Chinese-Canadian director Sunny Zhao. The film narrates how a mysterious piano connects two children from opposite ends of the world, guiding them through an extraordinary journey of discovery centered on truth and the power of music.

This creative undertaking was facilitated through an invitation from the film's production team via Lights of Love Foundation and Dreams Factory. For the students, this group project provided not only an exceptional opportunity for artistic expression but also a comprehensive exercise in professional collaboration. Furthermore, such volunteer engagement in artistic creation will substantially enhance the students' college applications, strengthening their profiles as they prepare for higher education.
