Vicky has demonstrated natural talent, refinement, and rigor. The final portfolio is the result is a culmination of increased sophisticated works and is considered a leader amongst her peers. Students rely in our learner as an example and source for true work ethic. They know that the work that is turned in by our young artist, will set the bar for the classroom.

Vicky is an amazing talent, and I see this student wanting to improve and not solely rely on just talent. Committed to make an impression professionally, Vicky has showcased work, volunteered at school events, and won various competitions. Every project must be of quality and refinement. Showing care, discipline, experimentation and patience, the use of color in various projects is impressive with a contemporary style and flare. The style and a gestural mark have guided Vicky to new avenues of growth and exploration of materials. Great leaps have been taken in life drawing in trying different techniques and investigating line quality and mark making, while at the same time producing accurate figural studies. In other classes concept art are exemplary.

I believe Vicky can process criticism and turn her work into something impressive while being humble and always wanting to learn and try various experimentation until she finds a solid strategy. This in turn will return full circle as she is always willing to give advice or bring new knowledge to the group by sharing her own research.

Vicky has animated, life drawing concept art, fine art and other various art practices to influence back into her passionate entertainment and game design. She is excited to take it further with her continuing education.

Aside from these rich qualities Vicky’s personality was a fun and really helped break the ice with many new or reserved students. She was giving and nurturing to the group.

As a freshmen year she was the JV MVP. Her junior year-vice president art club-west lake art guild art competition 2nd place for 2d art. Vicky also gave 50+hour volunteer time at library, helping student with arts and craft, readings, homework and received a score of-5 on ap art portfolio.

At the 2025 Senior Graduation Ceremony, Vicky shared her feelings of the past three years’ learning experience at WCAAD. “I want to give a huge thank you to Miss Wang, Omar and the school for the amazing experience I’ve had here and for offering such wonderful opportunities to me.” She said,“I remember coming here for the first time as a sophomore being so nervous and intimidated by all the amazing artists in the room and now looking back it's crazy how much I’ve grown.”

“I think what made the past three years so rewarding was the connections I made along the way,” she said, “It was great to be surrounded by a community of young artists like myself, we all encourage each other and pushed each other to be better. Being around my classmates made these 9 hour classes so much fun and even though this was basically like having another day of school every week, I genuinely looked forward to coming here each and every Saturday.”

“I am especially thankful to my teacher Omar, for constantly challenging me and mentoring me through the college application process, it was rough but we made it.”She shared, “Although I was slightly intimidated at first, overtime I came to really appreciate all the valuable lessons and skills you've taught us and most of all your dedication to your students. I'm forever grateful for the teachers here for helping me grow as an artist and I am excited for all of the class of 2025 to move on to the next chapters of our lives.”
