WCAAD 7-year-old Student Won the City Logo Design Contest
WCAAD student Ray Liang, age 7, won the logo design competition for the City of La Cañada Flintridge's 50th Anniversary. On Tuesday, May 5, the winners were announced at the City Council meeting.

As La Cañada Flintridge celebrates 50 years since its incorporation, the city held a logo design contest for residents, families, and local partners to help honor and reflect on its past. Under the theme "Together for 50 Years," community members were encouraged to submit a design that "captures the spirit of LCF."

Ray brought the city's unique character and scenic beauty to life with a playful and imaginative composition. His artwork features iconic natural elements like hummingbirds, flowers, and mountain views, while incorporating the "50th Anniversary" theme into the design. The piece stands out with its well-balanced composition, vibrant colors, and festive spirit. The sun rising behind the mountains adds a symbolic touch, reflecting the city's growth and promise over the past five decades.
